What is Holistic Massage ?Holistic massage treats the person as a whole, it does not just treat the symptoms , i.e muscle or joint ache but look for the cause of the symptoms be it external or your home/work/life environment.
Preparation/ your first visit to Holistic AngelWhen meeting Holistic Angel for the first time please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time for your free consultation.
Ann-Marie will take you through a brief questionnaire recording your responses and then it is read and signed by you.
It is extremely important that any medical or other conditions are mentioned at this time to ensure you get the most from your treatment and it is safe to proceed with the treatment.
After the initial consultation Ann-Marie will leave the treatment room and you will be asked to remove your clothes leaving your underwear on and to drape yourself in the sheet provided lie face down on the massage table or sit down, depending on which treatment is being carried out. Ann-Marie will then knock on the treatment room door asking you are ready for your treatment to begin then enter the treatment room and the treatment will begin.
Preparations and requirements for the massage:
» All jewellery must be removed
» Long hair must be tied back
» Please ensure all phones are switched off.
» No heavy meals one hour prior to your massage
It is recommended that you have a hot shower or bath before having a massage as this loosens the muscles in order to gain full benefit from massage.
Frequently asked questions
Can I talk during a treatment?
Yes, you can talk if you wish. However I would advise you to relax and enjoy being pampered. If you feel any discomfort during the treatment too much pressure being applied or not enough pressure please let me know I welcome all feedback it your time to relax after all.
What happens if I fall asleep?
If you fall asleep during your treatment, Don’t worry I am used to it and consider it a huge compliment and I will wake you up when your treatment is complete.
